PCam History
1994-1996
The story begins in February 94 when we, Alex Magnetti and Antonio Regazzoni, have decided to create their own company.
The idea was to provide customers with a very simple and powerful specific CAM system for WireEDM. We worked day and night during 94 and 95 in our private houses and, after this period we moved, to go on developing in our first office in Intragna Ticino CH.
Total people employed was three.
During this period we developed a prototype of the borning PCam system partially on HP UX and partially under windows. Meanwhile Antonio was further developing this prototype, Alex has searched investors or financers that, at the end, could be found through KTI Switzerland in Bern. It was year 96.
1997-1998
After another year of fully immersion development we rented our first office in Gordola c/o a mechanical company.
In September 97 we could sale the very first little product to a Swiss company looking for a translator from iges to dxf !!
Between end of 97 end beginning of 98 we could find some new customers in Northern Italy.This allowed us to take contact with the first Agent in Italy: AGIE Italia Spa.
That was for us a very good start because already in September 98 we could attend an international expo in Milan BIMU on the AGIE Italy booth.
From then on, we could find many agents in all Europe like Denmark, Germany, Sweden, France, Spain etc.
Meanwhile, we where developing our CAM system, we where approaching the idea to develop a Robot to automize the full machining process
1999-2000
We moved our office to Contone.

We opened a second company PCam SA in Contone mainly focused to Automation.
